These works speak to the magic inherent in nature. While we, as humankind, think we are the most evolved, it is, in fact, in nature, the forest, and the untouched that I see the true influence of the divine. It is here where I have felt peace, acceptance and a connection to source.
Thus, I’ve chosen to crown animals instead of humans. I’ve elevated ‘beasts’; pets that forever give us grace and love; the wild that shows deference to a natural order of things; and insects that remind us that the cycle of life always brings new birth and possibility.
Like nature, these pieces are multi-layered. The forest, the ocean, as well as our modern world, are layered with challenges and puzzles; not to be solved, but to be witnessed. These works are the same: paintings, resin, and ceramic pieces that are invitations to the world of the witch, the galaxy of the unknown, and the universe of the possible.
